Summary

Join Kinetic's dynamic Insurance Operations team as a Senior Claims Specialist! Leverage your Workers' Compensation claims expertise to provide exceptional customer service and manage claims for policyholders. You will play a key role in driving positive outcomes by identifying high-risk exposures, facilitating return-to-work opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams. As a senior team member, you'll also provide strategic insights, deliver client onboarding sessions, and support data-driven decision-making. Requirements

  • At least 5 years of Workers’ Compensation claims experience, including managing lost time claims, litigated claims, and conduction loss reserve analyses
  • Proven experience conducting claim reviews directly with policyholders and their agents
  • Knowledge or experience with Return-to-Work protocols and programs
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within the department, across the organization, and with external customers
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing and delivering presentations
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with team members at all levels
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (e.g. Google Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Proficiency in creating pivot tables and charts in Google Sheets

Responsibilities

  • Manage claims for Kinetic policyholders, including claim reviews, reserve analysis, and closure strategies to minimize policyholders’ total cost of risk
  • Identify high-risk policyholders and collaborate with the Insurance Operations team to implement risk mitigation strategies
  • Facilitate return-to-work programs to reduce claim durations and improve injury recovery outcomes
  • Deliver best-in-class customer service to policyholders and internal teams to enhance claims processes and program effectiveness
  • Conduct client onboarding sessions, including training on Kinetic’s product offerings and carrier portals, in cases where a Policyholder Success Manager is not assigned
  • Provide on-demand consultations to policyholders, brokers, and other stakeholders to address claims-related concerns
  • Update and maintain accurate records, reports, and applications to ensure data consistency
  • Analyze claims data and performance metrics, providing actionable insights to management
  • Support product improvement initiatives by identifying gaps and opportunities for optimization
  • Lead or contribute to special projects that align with broader company goals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working at an Insurtech company or MGA
  • Experience plotting and visualizing data in a business intelligence platform such as Tableau or Looker
