Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years working in cloud architecture and administration (AWS, VMware)
• Experience managing applications in hybrid cloud environments (AWS and VMware)
• Proficient with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation or VMware Aria Automation
• Extensive experience with VMware Cloud Foundation, including vSphere, vCenter, NSX, vSAN, and VMware Cloud on AWS
• Good understanding of Data Security on Cloud-based applications
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (VPC, VPN, Direct Connect, load balancing) and cloud security best practices (IAM, security groups, encryption, etc.)
• Experience in building CI/CD pipelines for large scale application on AWS and on-premises
• Background in redefining the applications into cloud native environments
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Strong presentation skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Conversational English level (C1+)
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, as well as work collaboratively with teams, some of which may be geographically distributed

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of AWS and VMware Cloud Foundation-based cloud infrastructures, ensuring they align with business goals and security requirements
• Oversee the management, monitoring, and optimization of cloud resources across multiple environments (production, staging, and development)
• Develop and drive cloud adoption strategies for the organization, ensuring a smooth and cost-effective migration from on-premises to the cloud
• Provide expert-level consultation and architecture guidance on cloud infrastructure, systems, and applications, ensuring the best practices are followed
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or VMware Aria Automation
• Drive the automation of deployment pipelines and cloud operations
• Implement cost optimization strategies by optimizing cloud resources, recommending efficient architectures, and ensuring resource utilization
• Implement robust security controls, policies, and best practices for cloud environments
• Ensure cloud solutions are compliant with industry standards and regulations
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and business teams to understand requirements and deliver cloud-based solutions that meet organizational needs
• Mentor developers and DevOps's and provide guidance to other teams on cloud technologies, best practices, and tools
