Requirements

• Appropriate IT related degree or relevant experience
• 6-10 years in DBA roles
• 2-3 years in a cloud-based DBA role (AWS, RDS Aurora, etc)
• Experience in maintaining large, high-volume, high-availability production database clusters
• Strong skills in SQL, ability to analyze and optimize SQL queries
• Advanced knowledge in data modeling and schema design
• Fluent English, both written and verbal
• Enthusiastic, hard-working, motivated person with excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Managing several RDS Aurora clusters in a PCI-DSS level environment (service provider level 1)
• Performance & tuning, backups, disaster recovery, replication, and general database architecture
• Overall responsibility for technical operations and monitoring on the database layer, including extended support for critical production systems
• Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving problems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation - considered as an advantage
• Experience with Redshift - considered as an advantage
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc - considered as an advantage
• Experience with NoSQL solutions like MongoDB, Redis, etc - considered as an advantage
• Experience in payments and payment-based infrastructure - considered as an advantage
