Senior Cloud Engineer

Summary

Join our Cloud Engineering team at Nerdery as a Senior Google Cloud Engineer, where you'll manage and implement Google Cloud technology for our customers. You'll design, develop, and manage robust cloud solutions to drive business objectives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience within the software industry required
• 3+ years of professional experience with GCP required
• 1-2 years of experience with Terraform
• Experience with CI/CD automation required
• Experience with ETL/ELT on the GCP platform required
• Experience deploying web applications to GCP required
• Experience with GCP: Data Encryption, Networking Security and Firewalls, IAM, Logging and Monitoring, KMS
• Experience with Docker
• Experience working in a distributed, agile environment planning and executing on a projects using Agile methodologies
• Confident with use of Git for version control
• Experience with Dataflow, BigQuery, and Looker

Responsibilities

• Work with Back-End & Front-End developers to support integration and deployment efforts
• Develop and maintain reusable templates and code to automate solution delivery and deployment
• Ensure the availability, performance, security, and scalability of the production system by implementing proactive system monitoring

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BigData is a plus
• Experience with Databricks is a plus
• GCP Data Loss Prevention (DLP) is a plus
• 1-2 years of experience with Azure or AWS is a plus
• Experience in database architecture, business intelligence, big data, machine learning, and/or advanced analytics
