Summary
Join team x/RAPP, a global communications and marketing agency for Mercedes-Benz, as a Senior Compositor. You will integrate CGI assets, matte paintings, and live-action footage into high-quality visuals using advanced compositing techniques in Nuke. Requirements
- A good understanding of German language
- A highly experienced Senior Compositor with a strong background in high-end VFX production for film, TV, or commercials
- Expert in Nuke compositing software, with a deep understanding of node-based workflows
- Strong artistic and technical knowledge of light, colour, perspective and composition
- Experience working with deep compositing techniques, AOVs, and multi-channel EXRs
- Ability to work with blue/green screen keying, rotoscoping and motion blur to create seamless composites
- Knowledge of CG rendering workflows, including how to optimize renders for compositing
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex shots
- Excellent communication skills and a team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments
- Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritise tasks and handle multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Willingness and ability to travel for work-related events and productions
Responsibilities
- Take briefs and direction from the VFX Supervisor to execute assigned shots to the highest standard
- Seamlessly integrate CGI assets, matte paintings and live-action footage to create photorealistic composites
- Apply advanced compositing techniques, including colour correction, rotoscoping, keying and tracking
- Work on complex camera tracking, set extensions and photorealistic full CG compositing
- Use deep compositing techniques and multipass CG rendering for high-end visual integration
- Ensure color consistency and maintain the overall look and feel of a sequence
- Create clean and organized Nuke scripts that follow studio standards
- Collaborate with other departments, including CG artists, lighting artists and FX teams, to optimize workflows and improve shot efficiency
- Identify and troubleshoot technical and creative challenges to meet project deadlines
- Participate in client reviews and internal critiques, taking feedback constructively and efficiently applying changes
- Stay updated on industry trends, software advancements, and best practices in compositing
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with other VFX software such as Flame, After Effects, or 3D software like Maya, Houdini, or Blender
