Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or a related field
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • 2 years of experience in budget analysis

Responsibilities

  • Execute budget transactions, monitor expenditures, and perform monthly/quarterly reconciliations to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines and regulations
  • Assist in analyzing budget requests, financial reports, and expenditure requests to identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies
  • Monitor and track expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary limits and identify any variations
  • Assist in preparing budget reports, presentations, and other documentation for senior management and stakeholders
  • Provide support in budget execution activities, including the maintenance of financial spreadsheets and data entry into the federal financial system
  • Conduct research and analysis on budgetary issues, legislative proposals, and policy changes that may impact funding allocations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in financial analysis and forecasting
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with complex financial data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software is preferred
