Summary
Join Omnidian, a B Corp certified company building a sustainable future, as a Senior Data Analyst/Steward. Based in Pittsburgh, NY Capital Region, or Seattle with a hybrid work schedule, you will drive Data Governance efforts, enhance processes, and lead critical projects. This role involves owning our best-in-class metrics program, acting as a data steward for critical business data, and performing data analysis tasks. You will collaborate cross-functionally, provide data-related education, and create reports and dashboards. Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of Data Governance processes and standards
- Comfortable working with and visualizing data in both structured and unstructured data sources
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to provide mentoring cross-functionally
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Understanding of business needs, users, technology, and data, and collaborating with stakeholders to design and deliver data foundations that provide business value
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing effective solutions
- 3+ years of Data Governance experience
- 3+ years of data analysis experience
- Expertise in Data Governance processes and standards
Responsibilities
- Own and lead critical data governance projects (25% of time)
- Own critical data projects such as our critical metrics program including project management and communication
- Mitigate risks and clear blockers
- Collaborate cross functionally to drive initiatives
- Own, provide education for and maintain centralized data documentation such as Conceptual Data Model, Physical Data Model, Data Flow Documentation, and Data Mapping Documentation
- Act as Data Steward for data that is central/critical to Omnidian’s business (Examples: data retention, legal/audit requirements, business terms, data subject requests, access requests, etc.)
- Ambassador for data governance to the business area
- Data quality monitoring, tracking, alerts and runbooks
- Securely pull ad-hoc data from appropriate sources as needed by the business
- Create reports and dashboards for the business
- Work with BI Team to ‘productionalize’ reports and dashboards you create
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the clean energy industry
- Experience with Salesforce, Databricks, Sigma or RDS
- Experience supporting Data Governance with both manual processes and with tooling (such as Informatica or Collibra)
