Senior Data Engineer

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field is required
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in data pipeline development, ETL engineering, or backend data integration roles
• Demonstrated hands-on development experience in data transformation and loading into Databricks, PostgreSQL, and/or AWS DynamoDB
• Experience with government data systems or working in federal environments
• Familiarity with compliance and security practices relevant to IRS or other federal data systems
• Must have active IRS MBI Clearance

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Databricks, Informatica, and other cloud-native solutions
• Develop data pipelines to feed API-accessible databases and support operational/transactional systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)
• Leverage a variety of data integration and transformation tools, including Databricks, Informatica ETL, and AWS-native data services such as Redshift, RDS, and DocumentDB
• Work collaboratively with product teams, project leads, and data customers to gather data needs and pipeline requirements
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
