Join Blackpoint Cyber, a leading cybersecurity company, as a Data Engineer and Technical Lead for our A.I. business unit. You will build and maintain data engineering processes and infrastructure to support the development of our A.I. products. This role involves designing and implementing data pipelines, defining data models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will report directly to the Head of Artificial Intelligence and contribute to the company's mission of stopping cyberattacks. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in hands-on Data Engineering, with a track record of supporting delivery of A.I. products and services into production
  • Experience building in the well-architected mindset—for efficiency, performance, security, and reliability
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experienced in Cloud infrastructure & operations (AWS)
  • Experienced in Data streaming & Event-driven processing (Kafka, Spark)
  • Experienced in Big data ETL (Spark, EMR)
  • Experienced in Scripting Language (Python, Bash)
  • Experienced in Query Language (SQL, Ksql)
  • Experienced in Containerized Services (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experienced in GitFlow & DevOps best practices
  • Experienced in Workflow automation & systems administration
  • Experienced in DataOps (data versioning, lifecycle management)

Responsibilities

  • Build, optimize, and maintain data pipelines to power A.I., Machine Learning, and Data Science workflows and deployments
  • Define and implement streamed and event-based ETL processes to enable hi-velocity ingestion, transformation, and prediction model serving at scale
  • Define and implement data models and schemas, supporting the requirements of A.I. product and feature development
  • Contribute to architecture and design decisions according to data engineering best practices
  • Configure, operate, and monitor the storage and processing technologies powering A.I. data pipelines
  • Build tools and define metrics and procedures for performance testing and maintaining operational oversight
  • Implement data lifecycle best practices—for data versioning, partitioning and indexing, & backup and archival, functioning as system owner and data custodian of the operated infrastructure
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Blackpoint Cyber’s Security Operations Center (SOC), and our Adversary Pursuit Group (APG)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Programming (Scala, Java)
  • Familiarity with DB administration
  • Familiarity with MLOps workflows
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum
  • Experience in Cybersecurity, IoT, or NLP fields
