Summary
Join Data Ideology as a Senior Data Engineer and leverage your business and technical expertise to develop production-ready data models. Integrate multiple data sources, collaborate with business and technical teams, and ensure business requirements are met throughout the data & analytics lifecycle. Design, build, and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using SSIS. Develop and maintain T-SQL scripts. Collaborate with data architects and analysts to implement data warehouse solutions. Support and enhance data solutions aligned with the medallion architecture. Monitor and optimize the performance of SSIS packages and SQL queries. This is a remote, full-time position.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in a Data Engineering or ETL Developer role
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying SSIS packages
- Proven experience working in a data warehouse environment, particularly with dimensional modeling (star/snowflake schemas)
- Familiarity with data pipeline design aligned to medallion architecture or similar layered data lake approaches
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data cataloging practices
- BI/Data Warehousing (5+ years)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using SSIS for various data integration needs
- Develop and maintain T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, and functions within SQL Server to support data movement and transformation
- Collaborate with data architects and analysts to design and implement data warehouse solutions using dimensional modeling best practices
- Support and enhance data solutions aligned with the medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold layer concepts)
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance of SSIS packages and SQL queries
- Ability to collect and understand business requirements and translate those requirements into an actionable data warehouse plan
- Ability to work within the SDLC framework in multiple environments and understand the complexities and dependencies of the data warehouse built within those constraints
