Senior Data Engineer

Summary

Join Encora as a Senior Data Engineer and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient applications. Lead technical projects, mentor junior engineers, and continuously improve software development practices. This remote position is based in Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, or Bolivia. The role requires extensive software development experience focused on building scalable applications, advanced proficiency in DBT, SQL, and Python, and experience with Airflow, Git, and AWS. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and +5 years of experience are also required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in software development with a focus on designing and building scalable applications
• Professional/ Advanced English skills
• +5 years of experience
• Advanced proficiency in DBT
• Advanced skills in SQL and Python
• Experience with Airflow
• Proficiency in Git
• Experience with AWS
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts (facts and dimensions)
• Basic knowledge of Snowflake
• Basic understanding of Terraform, Docker, and CI/CD processes
