Summary

Join ID5's Platform Engineering team as a Senior Data Engineer and contribute to the development of our Business Intelligence (BI) platform. Design and maintain data pipelines, models, and infrastructure for analytics and reporting. Partner with various stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and accessibility. Build robust and scalable data pipelines for BI and analytics. Design and implement well-structured data marts for self-service reporting. Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using tools like Airflow and dbt. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights. Champion best practices in data modeling and governance. Mentor and support engineers to foster a culture of data excellence.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering, with a strong focus on business intelligence
  • Proven expertise in distributed data systems and modern data warehouse technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Trino, Apache Iceberg)
  • Deep experience with ELT frameworks and orchestration tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow)
  • Strong understanding of data modeling for analytics (e.g., star and snowflake schemas, dimensional modeling)
  • Comfortable working in cloud environments (AWS or GCP) with infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines to support BI and analytics use cases across the company
  • Design and implement well-structured, performant data marts to enable self-service reporting and data exploration
  • Develop and optimise ETL/ELT workflows using tools such as Airflow and dbt, ensuring quality, consistency, and thorough documentation
