Senior Data Engineer

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
• 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering including 5+ years of experience in data engineering
• Proven expertise in building and managing scalable data platforms
• Proficiency in Python
• Strong knowledge of SQL, data modeling, data migration and database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB). Prior experience with data migration strategies is a must
• Exceptional problem-solving skills optimizing data systems

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of a scalable and reliable data platform
• Analyze the current database and warehouse. Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to support data migration
• Build and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performing data platforms, including data lakes and/or warehouses
• Lead by example. Implement data engineering best practices and design patterns
• Be subject matter expert and guide design reviews for any new features impacting data ensuring data platform tenets
• Stay up to date with LLM; Collaborate with our GenAI engineers and leverage LLMs to lead Data Platform investments
