Summary

Join GoodLeap as a Senior Data Scientist and leverage your expertise to explore business questions and inform decision-making within our Consumer Solutions business unit. You will collaborate with product and business leaders to drive data-driven prioritization, enhance our understanding of user experience, and measure the success of our communications and cross-sell efforts. This role involves working with stakeholders to scope and prioritize impactful analysis projects, developing informative metrics, and executing rigorous analyses using appropriate statistical methods. You will effectively communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders and contribute to strategic conversations. The opportunity also includes collaboration on foundational projects to improve data access for analysts and business users. This position offers a competitive salary and the potential for a bonus.

Requirements

  • MS in DS, Statistics, or related technical degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years' experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role
  • 3+ years' hands-on SQL experience performing open-ended analysis in a work environment
  • Experience with casual inference, including both experimental and observational methods
  • Experience defining informative metrics for understanding a business area and developing actionable reporting for teams to monitor
  • Experience supporting product and/or marketing teams with opportunity sizing, launch metrics for new initiatives, and data-driven roadmap prioritization
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and communicate with technical and non-technical teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders to translate business questions into rigorous and actionable analysis projects

Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders and team members to scope and prioritize analysis projects that will drive impact and guide business and product decisions
  • Develop metrics that are informative, responsive, and relevant to stakeholder teams' actions
  • Work with product and business teams to set goals and develop and execute measurement plans for new initiatives, including selecting success metrics, reviewing instrumentation plans, and developing launch reporting
  • Design and execute rigorous, actionable analyses, using appropriate statistical methods to validate hypotheses and/or produce actionable predictions and prescriptions
  • Communicate analysis results effectively to non-technical stakeholders and represent data perspective in strategy conversations

Benefits

  • $121,000 - $141,000 a year
  • In addition to the above salary, this role may be eligible for a bonus
