Summary

Join Unite Us as a Senior Data Scientist and become part of our Insights Data Science team, contributing to an enterprise pipeline of predictive models and experiments. You will leverage advanced statistical modeling and machine learning to interpret and communicate findings to stakeholders. This role involves collaborating with various teams across the organization, developing predictive models, and innovating data science applications. You will work with large datasets in the health and social care space, building an enterprise-scale ML pipeline and using LLMs to meet business needs. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, along with extensive experience in data science and programming languages.

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years experience with modern programming languages (Python, R, SQL) and tools/ libraries (pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, etc) used in data science
  • Robust understanding of the statistical foundation of machine learning and experience with experiment design and causal inference
  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP) techniques, including the use, evaluation, and deployment of Large Language Models
  • Experience scaling work from R&D to a production predictive pipeline built on a modern stack
  • Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn software technologies such as Google Suite, Zoom, Slack, HubSpot, Asana, etc
  • All team members will be required to pass a background check which includes criminal, employment, and education verification

Responsibilities

  • Drive development of predictive models by identifying and leveraging both internal and external data sources and creating tools that support referral decision-making, understand person-level and community needs, and efficient care delivery
  • Own product innovation by identifying new ways data science can be used to support key enterprise initiatives
  • Work hand-in-hand with our Machine Learning Engineering team to build an enterprise-scale ML pipeline
  • Use your software engineering skills to develop applications using Large Language Models (LLMs) to meet a variety of business needs
  • Partner with Business Development, Product and Engineering to understand our partners and the health and social care data landscape

  • Experience with healthcare data and analytics is preferred
