Senior Data Scientist I

Join Raya, a technology company focused on building a utility-driven social app, as a Senior Data Scientist I. You will generate actionable insights to improve member recommendations, focusing on activation, monetization, and maps. This role reports to the Analytics team and collaborates closely with the Membership Experience Product team. The ideal candidate possesses 3+ years of data science experience in a tech company, expertise in experimentation and causal inference using Python, and strong SQL and statistical skills. Requirements

• Possess a Degree in quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, AI, Statistics, or equivalent) or highly relevant industry experience
• Have 3+ years of experience working in a data science role focusing on product analytics and experimentation for a B2C tech company (dating, gaming, social media)
• Be expert in SQL
• Have strong knowledge in statistics
• Demonstrate strong proactive verbal and written communication and presentation skills, and the ability to convey rigorous statistical concepts to non-experts
• Possess good business instincts with an ability to prioritize their team’s work against the highest impact areas
• Show natural curiosity for exploring data
• Demonstrate accountability and delivery

Responsibilities

• Generate actionable insights driving better recommendations for members
• Focus on activation, monetization, and maps
• Partner closely with the Membership Experience Product team

Preferred Qualifications

• Have proficiency in building data transformations in DBT or Airflow
• Possess product curiosity and sharp business acumen
• Familiarity with data transformation tools (e.g. dbt, Airflow)
