Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and be able to lead complex data integration and automation projects with designs and are scalable and robust with a focus on simplicity and efficiency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Business Operations, weighing trade-offs between near and long term solutions
  • Support engineering through leadership, mentorship and leading by example – setting high standards for personal and team’s code quality, test coverage and performance
  • Drive innovation through seeking out opportunities through technology to improve efficiency throughout the company

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment
  • Proficiency in delivering end-to-end functionality with data-driven feedback loops
  • Highly proficient with designing and implementing data processing systems, databases and data pipelines with cloud infrastructure and cloud platforms
  • Strong background experience with data integration via SFTP, EDI, and datafiles exchanges (e.g. CSV, XLS)
  • Expertise in ETL/ELT, data mapping, data table modeling and database performance & scaling
  • Proficiency in data automation and orchestration of data pipelines
  • Highly proficient with data manipulation language, e.g., SQL and RDBMS (Postgres)
  • Proficiency in scripting for automating tasks and manipulating text
  • Working experience with modern web applications development and REST API
  • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A strong plus: experience using AI tools and techniques in data engineering
