Requirements

  • University degree in IT or relevant discipline
  • Combined with minimum 7 years of relevant working experience in IT
  • At least five years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL Programming
  • Experience in Data warehouse projects and requirements gathering
  • Experience in UNIX/LINUX shell scripting
  • Experience with integrating Oracle and Azure and SQL Server
  • Experience with creating database schemas and tablespaces
  • Excellent knowledge of Oracle internals and database tuning
  • Excellent knowledge of gap analysis and source to target mapping
  • Excellent command of the English language

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing high performance, high availability database systems
  • Develop XML and SQL script-based procedures
  • Code the extract, transform, and load routines using PL/SQL and SQL Server Integration Services
  • Develop UNIX shell scripts and/or Windows batch files to facilitate in the extraction, movement, and loading of transactional data
  • Maintain and enhance existing Oracle-based UNICEF Data warehouse structures
  • Maintain SQL loader scripts uploading to the Oracle
  • Maintain product documentation, production configuration and technical documentation including logical and physical database designs, metadata, and production procedures
  • Regularly monitor database performance and tune it as needed
