The job description is for a Senior Database Developer position that requires fluency in English and offers remote work. Requirements
- University degree in IT or relevant discipline
- Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience in IT
- At least five years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL Programming
- Experience in Data warehouse projects and requirements gathering
- Experience in UNIX/LINUX shell scripting
- Experience with integrating Oracle and Azure and SQL Server
- Experience with creating database schemas and tablespaces
- Excellent knowledge of Oracle internals and database tuning
- Excellent knowledge of gap analysis and source to target mapping
- Excellent command of the English language
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing high performance, high availability database systems
- Develop XML and SQL script-based procedures
- Code the extract, transform, and load routines using PL/SQL and SQL Server Integration Services
- Develop UNIX shell scripts and/or Windows batch files to facilitate in the extraction, movement, and loading of transactional data
- Maintain and enhance existing Oracle-based UNICEF Data warehouse structures
- Maintain SQL loader scripts uploading to the Oracle
- Maintain product documentation, production configuration and technical documentation including logical and physical database designs, metadata, and production procedures
- Regularly monitor database performance and tune it as needed
