Senior Developer Advocate

Summary

Join MongoDB's Developer Relations team as a dynamic Developer Advocate specializing in Python and the Django framework. Champion our enterprise solutions and empower developers in the Django and Python communities to leverage our platform. Collaborate with a global team to enable developers to integrate advanced capabilities into their enterprise applications. This role involves creating technical content, fostering discussions, and sharing knowledge. The position requires at least five years of technical experience, preferably as a developer in an enterprise environment, with expertise in Django. Most of the team works remotely, with this role based in North America, South America, or Europe.

Requirements

• Strong background in software development with a focus on Python, specifically the Django framework
• Five years of technical experience, preferably as a developer
• Proficiency in building solutions with Python in the context of large enterprises
• Proven track record of creating content (tutorials, guides, documentation) to facilitate learning and adoption of Python and Django technologies
• 10% travel

Responsibilities

• Establish yourself as a recognized authority within the organization and the broader developer community, leveraging your expertise in Django and Python
• Maintain and continually develop proficiency in one or more complementary programming languages to communicate with developers and contribute to product improvements effectively
• Work closely with the product and growth marketing teams, offering expert counsel on the most effective ways to engage and enable the developer community online and in person
• Partner with our marketing teams to co-create compelling, authentic messaging and strategies that resonate with our target audiences
