Summary
Join Squiz Inc.'s Professional Services team as a Senior Developer to advise on front-end architecture and implement the Squiz DXP, ensuring solutions align with client brands and content strategies. This remote role, open to US-based candidates (ideally East or West Coast), involves designing and building complex user interfaces, integrating with client systems using Node.js, and collaborating with designers, product managers, and QA. You will also develop reusable components, champion best practices, and mentor other developers. Success involves delivering high-quality, performant, and accessible front-end experiences that meet client and product requirements. You will contribute to improving the shared component library and influence UI architecture for complex interfaces.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience building production-grade front-end applications
- Strong knowledge of web fundamentals, HTTP methods, integration patterns, RESTful APIs
- Building web interfaces according to WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
- Advanced proficiency in front-end web development JavaScript (preferably vanilla JS), HTML5, and CSS3
- Demonstrable experience with SDLC, experience
- Demonstrated experience building component libraries/design systems
- Experience working with headless CMS platforms or DXPs
- Strong grasp of web performance optimization and cross-browser compatibility
- Comfortable with build tools and bundlers (Webpack, Vite, etc.)
- Be self-driven and proactive; takes initiative and “owns it”

Responsibilities
- Design and build complex, scalable, and maintainable user interfaces - both back and frontend
- Own key parts of the solution architecture and influences technical direction
- Integrate with client systems using DXP features, requiring coding on platforms using Node.js
- Work closely with clients to understand user needs and pain points, translating them into intuitive performant digital experiences
- Collaborate with: Designers to bring UI/UX mockups to life while offering technical feasibility input
- Collaborate with: Product Managers to define scope, user stories, and timelines
- Collaborate with: QA/Testers to ensure robust testing coverage and defect resolution
- Collaborate with: Presales to build demos, prototypes and proof of concepts
- Develop reusable components and libraries that power multiple products or client solutions
- Champion best practices in accessibility, performance, responsive design, and testing
- Mentor developers, sharing knowledge, guiding architecture decisions, and modeling best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience delivering search implementations, indexing content and building search interfaces
- Understanding of information architecture and how it applies to large content ecosystems
- Experience integrating front-end interfaces with content workflows and personalization engines
- Experience working on multi-tenant platforms or enterprise SaaS applications
- Understanding of micro frontends or component-based architectures
- Comfortable navigating CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., GitHub Actions)
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Playwright) is a bonus
