Senior DevOps Engineer

Summary

Tripadvisor is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for their Cloud Tooling Team to manage AWS infrastructure, provide tooling and resources, and collaborate with stakeholders. The role requires 5+ years of professional experience, deep knowledge of DevOps principles, strong software programming background in Python and/or Go, experience with CI/CD pipelines, containers, container orchestration tools, complex distributed systems, infrastructure as code, cloud networking and security, and effective communication skills.

Requirements

• 5+ years professional experience
• Deep knowledge of DevOps principles
• Strong software programming background, preferably in Python and/or Go
• Experience building and operating applications in a cloud environment (ideally AWS)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools
• Experience with containers and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Amazon ECS
• Demonstrated ability to operate and troubleshoot complex, distributed systems
• Experience weighing technical decisions, committing to a solution, and communicating that decision to others
• Experience operating in an embedded operations context
• Knowledge of AWS Management services (Organizations, IAM, Identity Center)
• Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK)
• Basic cloud networking and security knowledge (VPCs, DNS, Transit Gateways, security groups, firewalls)
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
