Join Wild Alaskan Company as a DevOps Engineer and contribute to building and maintaining our custom e-commerce platform. Reporting to the Director of Software Architecture, you will play a crucial role in optimizing infrastructure, improving developer workflows, and ensuring system security and reliability. Requirements
- Expertise in AWS services (ELB, VPC, RDS, EC2, Elasticache)
- Experience with AWS ECS or similar container orchestration services
- Strong knowledge of Docker (building and maintaining images from scratch)
- Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code
- Experience supporting testing automation frameworks like Playwright
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions for CI/CD
- Coding experience in Go, and Bash
- In-depth understanding of Linux operating systems
- Strong process management and documentation skills
- Experience with database replication and business continuity best practices
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize hosting for our web properties
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with developers to enhance workflow efficiency and system reliability
- Implement redundancy processes for business-critical systems
- Establish continuity plans to mitigate outages and ensure smooth operations
- Monitor critical systems, proactively addressing potential issues
- Maintain and apply security updates to core systems
- Regularly audit hosting environments for cloud cost optimizations
- Support the data team and developers in maintaining customer privacy and compliance
