Remote Senior DevSecOps Consultant

Summary

Join VerSprite as a Senior DevSecOps Consultant and play a key role in designing, deploying, and maintaining secure applications. You will provide guidance and support to internal teams and clients, helping to integrate security throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of at least one high-level programming language (e.g., Python, Java, TypeScript, Golang)
• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, with a focus on cloud security
• Good understanding of AppSec practices, including secure coding, threat modeling, and vulnerability management
• Experience in building and securing serverless solutions
• Good understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, with a focus on integrating security into these workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address security risks effectively
• Ability to clearly explain security concepts to both technical and non-technical team members, ensuring everyone is on the same page
• Proficiency with tools like Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes, with the ability to automate and secure infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate security solutions and automation into both new and existing applications, aligning with modern DevSecOps practices
• Assess existing systems and codebases, identifying opportunities for security and architectural improvements
• Evaluate and implement new security tools, technologies, and platforms that enhance security and operational efficiency
• Manage and deliver multiple client projects, offering expert security advice and ensuring high standards are met
• Contribute to the development and integration of security automation tools within Dev(Sec)Ops pipelines
