Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field (PhD preferred)
  • Extensive experience in medical affairs, health economics and access, or a related area within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
  • Proven track record in evidence generation, health technology assessment, resulting in high-value publications/disclosures and HTA outcomes
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams
  • Experience mentoring and developing high-performing teams
  • Strategic mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and analysis of research studies to generate robust evidence supporting product value propositions and clinical outcomes
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of analyses for health technology assessment (HTA) dossiers, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and market access strategies
  • Develop and apply advanced statistical techniques for indirect comparisons to assess the relative efficacy and safety of treatments
  • Conduct and supervise secondary research activities, including systematic reviews and meta-analyses, to synthesize existing data and inform decision-making
  • Drive the development and submission of high-quality scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical development, value and access, real-world data analytics (RWDA), Epidemiology, and Worldwide Medical to influence, and deliver in alignment with, broader strategic initiatives
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the Medical Affairs Statistics team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and professional growth
  • Ensure the team’s alignment with organizational goals and maintain excellence in evidence generation and statistical analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with global regulatory requirements and market access strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate in statistical methods and evidence generation
  • Product launch and drug development experience for drug therapies in neurology, immunology, and/or rare diseases
