Summary

The Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) is seeking a seasoned government affairs professional to head their state and federal advocacy efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience in advocacy and lobbying, team leadership, and external relations. OIA offers a salary range of $150,000 - $175,000 and benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, remote work, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• A strong advocacy and lobbying background with at least 5 to 8 years of experience
• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing strategic advocacy campaigns
• Experience managing multiple high-priority advocacy objectives simultaneously
• History of successful leadership work that promotes a highly collaborative, collegial work style

Responsibilities

• Development and execution of OIA’s federal and state policy agenda in sustainability and trade
• Assessing the political and policy landscape aligned with industry priorities
• Craft Association’s policy advocacy and lobbying strategies in collaboration with trade and recreation advisory committees
• Build and manage a team including multiple Federal and State lobbyists
