As a Sr. Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of team deliverables, refining processes, leading efficiency improvements, and strategic planning. This role involves talent management, budget oversight, and cross-functional collaboration to support organizational growth. You will regularly review and refine processes, conduct efficiency evaluations, lead team enhancements, maintain awareness of ongoing projects, and serve as the primary engineering representative in interactions with other business units. You will also coach teams, develop strategic plans, foster a culture of innovation, oversee talent management, manage the engineering budget, and collaborate with senior leaders on cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Regularly review and refine processes to minimize errors and ensure adherence to best practices
  • Teams must provide evidence of process compliance
  • Conduct ongoing evaluations of organizational efficiency and effectiveness, addressing structural considerations and performance concerns as needed
  • Lead the team in enhancing effectiveness through both top-down initiatives and encouraging team-driven improvements
  • Maintain comprehensive awareness of all ongoing projects within the organization and effectively communicate updates to stakeholders
  • Serve as the primary representative of the engineering team in interactions with other business units, including regular reviews with PM and Technical Support
  • Actively coach teams through business changes, advocating for the team's best interests within the broader business context
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the engineering department, aligning with the overall business goals and objectives
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging teams to explore new technologies and methodologies
  • Oversee the recruitment, development, and retention of top engineering talent, ensuring the team has the skills and resources needed to succeed
  • Manage the engineering budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets
  • Collaborate with other senior leaders to drive cross-functional initiatives and support the overall growth and success of the organization

Preferred Qualifications

Master's in Computer Science or Software Engineering
