Senior Distributed Systems Engineer, Node Engineer

Requirements

• Proven expertise in distributed systems and experience working with large datasets and distributed storage solutions
• A passion for tackling scalability challenges and optimizing systems for real-time performance
• Deep technical understanding of low-latency systems, high-throughput infrastructure, and building solutions for multi-region availability
• Proficiency in Go, Rust or a similar systems programming language
• A track record of working on complex systems requiring a balance of strong consistency, availability, and massive scale
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Build backend services that are highly available, consistent, and multi-region, supporting thousands of users and millions of end-users in real-time
• Ensure everything runs smoothly and stays responsive as our platform scales to new heights
• Optimize the core technology to handle hundreds of thousands of requests per second and process petabytes of data effortlessly, mastering the trade-offs you need to make for consistency, availability and low-latency
• Dive into areas like the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), custom storage engines, and high-throughput systems
• Enhance distributed storage solutions, implement cutting edge in-memory MVCC algorithms, fine-tune garbage collectors, benchmark networks and build automated testing systems
• Take ownership of groundbreaking projects—whether that’s building a distributed, infinitely scalable node or developing strategies to optimize storage, networking, and performance
• Push the limits of blockchain technology by imagining and implementing new features
