Senior Elixir/Rails AI Engineer

Summary

Join Encora as a Senior Elixir/Rails AI Engineer and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable software applications. Lead technical projects, mentor junior engineers, and improve software development practices. Work remotely from Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, or Bolivia. The role requires extensive software development experience, proficiency in Node.js and either Ruby on Rails or Elixir, and hands-on experience with AI/LLM tools. A bachelor's degree in a related field is required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in software development with a focus on designing and building scalable applications
• Professional/ Advanced English skills
• +5 years of experience
• Proficiency in Node.js and experience with Ruby on Rails or Elixir
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM tools, such as OpenAI, Gemini, or vector databases
• Strong understanding of modern cloud environments and CI/CD workflows

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain fullstack features using Node.js and either Ruby on Rails or Elixir
• Integrate and optimize AI components, including LLMs like Gemini and Authentic AI
• Collaborate on architecture and code quality, leading best practices and mentoring team members
