Summary

Join our dynamic legal team as a Senior Employment Counsel, Manager - EMEA and play a key role in the ongoing growth of G-P across the EMEA region and globally. As the in-house legal expert on employment matters, you will provide strategic legal advice, ensure compliance with local labor laws, and manage a team of regional employment lawyers.

Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer in one or more EMEA jurisdictions, with 10+ years of experience in employment law, including law firm practice and in-house legal departments
  • Experience working with multinational employers across various jurisdictions on a broad range of national and international employment law matters
  • Excellent legal judgment, demonstrated creative problem-solving abilities, and business-sensitive analytical skills
  • Experience managing and leading a team of legal professionals
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, written communication, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through clear and concise messaging and legal advice
  • Able to effectively engage with stakeholders, leaders, and cross-functional teams
  • Capacity to operate in a complex, global environment with ease and fluidity, while driving and influencing results
  • Vision and experience in strategic initiatives beyond tactical implementation, including balancing legal and business needs while assessing appropriate risk to make meaningful decisions
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of employment lawyers across the EMEA region, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
  • Oversee employment law advice and support across the EMEA region, providing oversight and strategic decision making regarding legal exposure and employment law matters
  • Provide high quality legal advice on a broad range of individual and collective non-contentious and contentious employment issues, including but not limited to hiring practices, employee relations, terminations, investigations, and compliance
  • Partner with customer facing HR teams, leadership, and other stakeholders to develop and implement employment practices and policies that comply with local and international laws
  • Manage employment-related litigation across EMEA, including instructing and liaising with outside counsel and business units and ensuring appropriate reporting
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks related to employment practices, disputes, and compliance
  • Develop, review, and update employment policies and procedures to ensure they reflect best practices and comply with legal requirements
  • Conduct training for HR teams and management on employment law issues and effective employee relations strategies
  • Monitor and interpret new and changing employment laws and regulations and advise on necessary adjustments to company policies and practices
