Summary

Join our team as a Senior Engineer for Patching and manage and optimize our patch management process using Tanium. You will ensure system security, compliance, and efficiency by implementing and maintaining effective patch management strategies. Key responsibilities include configuring and managing Tanium, conducting patch assessments, developing patch management policies, collaborating with various departments, troubleshooting issues, providing technical leadership, and staying current with industry best practices. This role requires proven experience in patch management with Tanium, strong technical skills in system security and compliance, and in-depth knowledge of patch management best practices. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential. Relevant certifications are a plus.

Requirements

• Proven experience in patch management, with a strong background in Tanium
• Strong technical skills in system security, patch management, and compliance
• Strong technical expertise in Tanium, operating system administration (Windows, Linux, macOS), and patch management tools
• In-depth knowledge of patch management best practices, industry standards, and compliance requirements
• Experience in developing and implementing patch management policies and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
• Proficiency in using patch management tools and technologies
• Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in patch management and security

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize the patch management process using Tanium
• Configure and manage Tanium to deploy patches, software updates, and configuration changes to endpoints, ensuring compliance with organizational security standards
• Ensure the security and compliance of systems by conducting regular patch assessments and remediation
• Develop and implement patch management policies and procedures to enhance the overall security posture
• Collaborate with IT, security, and other departments to ensure seamless integration and operation of patch management solutions
• Collaborate with the vulnerability management team to identify and prioritize patching efforts based on risk and business impact
• Support the deployment of patches, software updates, and configuration changes to endpoints using Tanium
• Troubleshoot and resolve patch management-related issues, including patch deployment, software update, and configuration management
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and support staff
• Monitor and report on the performance and compliance of systems, identifying and addressing any issues or gaps
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in patch management and security

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant certifications, such as Tanium Certified Operator, Tanium Certified Analyst, CompTIA Security+ or similar, are a plus
