Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and delivering quality products and mentoring other engineers on the team
- B.S. in Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Technical background: Functional understanding and experience with MVC concepts and experience delivering features in a framework such as Rails or Django
- Experience writing clean, readable and testable code
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (preferably Git)
Responsibilities
- Have a good grasp of the tech stacks in use
- Work with the product team and other stakeholders to take requirements and help shape them with technical details
- Mentor and guide direct reports
- Setup regular touch points with direct reports and set proper expectations that meet both company and personal goals
- Maintain and add good engineering practices while eliminating unnecessary ones
- Assess and address technical issues
- Help identify gaps in resourcing
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with delivering ML/AI projects
- Good understanding of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL etcβ¦)
- Familiarity with other technologies such as caching, Redis
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes
- Working knowledge of front-end technologies and frameworks
- Soft skills: Strong communication and technical writing skills
- Well organized and disciplined, excellent documentation skills
- Curious about new technologies
- Great listener
- Technical by nature, ability to take big ideas and work with a team to break them down into smaller, actionable steps

- Base Compensation Range: $180,000 - $220,000 annually
- Annual bonus or commission
