Senior Engineering Manager, Mobile, Remote - India

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience of hands-on software development
• Familiarity with relevant technologies on iOS and Android, mobile development framework Flutter cloud platforms (i.e. Azure, GCP, etc), version control systems (i.e. Git, etc.), testing frameworks, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, etc
• 4+ years’ experience as a people manager

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the product manager to gain a clear understanding of product requirements and objectives
• Summarize and prioritize complex projects, understand the significance of each component and allocate resources accordingly
• Gain comprehensive knowledge of the product being built, including how clients use it, to guide decision-making and align engineering efforts with business goals
• Effectively communicate business requirements to the engineering team and lead them in designing efficient solutions
• Drive the execution of projects, ensuring the on-time delivery of high-quality results using software development best practices
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality standards and provide constructive feedback to the team
• Interview, hire, and mentor backend, database, and frontend engineers
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective collaboration throughout the product development lifecycle
• Stay up to date with industry trends and technological advancements, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency improvements
• Promote a collaborative and inclusive environment, where diverse perspectives are valued and contribute to better outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SaaS and/or EdTech
• Demonstrated experience working with Swift/Objective-C, Java/Kotlin, Dart, and other core elements of our technology stack and/or productivity tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Experience working with a global team
