Requirements

  • Proven experience in software engineering, with a strong track record of leading high-performing engineering teams in fast-paced environments
  • Extensive experience in the financial technology sector or related industries, with a deep understanding of financial systems, regulations, and security standards
  • Strong technical expertise in software development, with proficiency in programming languages such as Python and JavaScript, and familiarity with modern development frameworks and tools
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, drive results, and foster a collaborative and inclusive culture
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex software projects from inception to completion, with a focus on quality, scalability, and performance
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset and the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in complex technical environments
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies and familiarity with DevOps practices and tools

Responsibilities

  • Act as an effective manager by improving team efficiency to drive faster development cycles and expedite time-to-market
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute the technical roadmap, aligning engineering efforts with business objectives
  • Lead and inspire a team of software engineers, overseeing their day-to-day activities, setting clear goals, and providing regular feedback to ensure high performance and productivity
  • Manage the end-to-end development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and deployment, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, driving innovation and efficiency
  • Establish and enforce engineering best practices, code quality standards, and testing methodologies to deliver robust and reliable software products
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering team
  • Effectively allocate resources, manage priorities, and mitigate risks to ensure successful execution of engineering projects within budget and timeline constraints
  • Facilitate clear communication and collaboration across different teams and departments, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability
