Requirements
- Extensive Experience on Data Pipeline Design, Transformation and Normalization of Data
- Experience with Intrusion Detection, Threat, and Vulnerability Management tools for data enrichment
- Knowledge of Log Aggregation and Correlation
- Familiarity with On-prem, Cloud, and Hybrid Cloud environments
- Experience building and managing ETL platforms (e.g., Talend, Informatica, Apache Nifi)
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Knowledge of Host-based security controls (e.g., IPTables, Mod_security, HIDS, FIM)
- Familiarity with Virtualization technologies (e.g., KVM, OpenStack, OVirt, VMware, Hyper-V)
- Ability to track, manage, and resolve incidents and requests using a ticket system
- Understanding of Request, Incident, and Change Management practices
- Strong leadership skills to mentor junior team members and lead projects
- Possess at least one recognized security vendor certification, which demonstrates advanced expertise in designing, implementing, and managing premier cybersecurity programs
- Strong understanding of security principles, practices, and tools, with the ability to develop and implement effective security procedures and corrective measures
- Proficient in assessing, prioritizing, and addressing security issues, including handling escalations and providing security consultation across business units

Responsibilities
- Perform data pipeline designing, transformation and normalization of data capabilities across security tooling
- Ensure ETL platforms and or tooling operate and perform at optimal levels
- Provide guidance and support for data collection, transformation, and normalization across a variety of operating systems, applications, appliances, and networking platforms
- Maintain and develop engineering and security documentation related to ETL workflows
- Plan and execute security engineering initiatives focused on ETL enhancement
- Work with stakeholders to refine the acceptance criteria of ETL objectives
- Provide security-centric guidance during the design and maintenance of ETL workflows
- Ensure thorough documentation of tickets, meetings, and interactions with fellow engineers and requestors
- Manage the testing, implementation, deployment, maintenance, review, and administration of ETL hardware and software
- Manage the configuration, user management, access controls, policies, and overall administration of ETL and security tools
- Provide security advice to Product and Business Units, ensuring integration, compliance, and risk mitigation in ETL processes
- Integrate threat intelligence feeds and sources into ETL processes to enhance security and response capabilities
- Work closely with other IT and security teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of ETL and security tools and processes
- Coordinate with Threat Detection and Response analysts to manage and administer the updating of rules and signatures for specialized cyber defense applications related to ETL
- Evaluate tools to ensure that the appropriate security solutions are implemented, effectively meeting or surpassing the company's use cases and requirements
- Assist in designing, planning, and building integrations and automations for ETL security tools, applications, and data
- Contribute to the development and enforcement of security policies, standards, and guidelines related to ETL operations
- Continuously monitor and optimize ETL performance, including data transformation rates, query performance, and storage management
- Manage relationships with ETL and security vendors, including coordinating support, updates, and feature requests
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), incident reports, and system architecture diagrams
- Ensure ETL configurations and operations comply with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and support audit activities
- Train and mentor Junior ETL Security engineers and analysts on ETL operations, best practices, and incident response procedures
- Perform other security-related duties as assigned
- Limited off-hours support is required (On-Call rotation)
- Limited travel may be required
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Senior ETL Security Engineer or similar role
- Working understanding of modern Data Pipeline Design, Transformation and Normalization of Data and best practices
- Strong background in Linux and Windows Operating Systems
- Experience scripting and automating workflows
- Understanding of ETL platforms and tools
- Understanding of Asset Management platforms
- Working experience in enterprise environments
- Foundational understanding of networking
- Experience troubleshooting complex systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for documentation
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

- Design and champion best ETL practices within the organization
