Summary
Join Hitachi Vantara as a Senior Exchange/M365 Engineer in Mexico and manage our Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring seamless integration with on-premises infrastructure. Lead and participate in M365 and Exchange Online projects, including migrations and upgrades. Serve as the escalation point for complex incidents and service requests. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mail flow, hybrid configurations, and directory synchronization. Collaborate with security and compliance teams. This role requires 5+ years of experience managing Microsoft Exchange and strong expertise in Microsoft 365 services. The ideal candidate will possess deep understanding of hybrid identity and directory synchronization, and experience with PowerShell scripting.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing Microsoft Exchange (Online and/or Hybrid)
- Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
- Deep understanding of hybrid identity and directory synchronization (Azure AD Connect)
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration
- Familiarity with Microsoft Defender for Office 365 and compliance/security features
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in M365 and Exchange Online projects, including migrations, upgrades, and new feature rollouts
- Design and implement solutions that integrate Exchange Online with on-prem Active Directory
- Collaborate with security, compliance, and identity teams to ensure best practices are followed
- Evaluate and implement new Microsoft 365 features and services to enhance productivity and collaboration
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and architectural diagrams
- Serve as the escalation point for complex Exchange Online and M365-related incidents and service requests
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mail flow, hybrid configurations, authentication, and directory synchronization
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues
- Work closely with Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams to provide guidance and training
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, MS-203, or equivalent
- Experience with large-scale tenant environments (10,000+ users)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Purview, Graph API, and Conditional Access policies
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
