Summary
Join our System Engineering Department as a Flight Operations System Engineer! You will contribute to the analysis, planning, and definition of constellation operations, as well as the preparation, testing, and execution of operational procedures. This role involves trade-off studies, developing operational procedures and manuals, verification and validation, and supporting in-orbit testing and anomaly resolution. You will also work with satellite simulators and contribute to script development. The position offers the possibility of remote work.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering in a relevant field
- Have at least 10 years of relevant practical experience
- Possess previous experience with LEO/MEO satellite systems
- Have experience with automated satellite operations, especially design and IOT
- Have Systems Engineering experience in concepts of space and ground segment design, specification and integration, knowledge of Flight Software role in operations, Satellite Database Operations concept and telemetry structure concepts
- Have experience creating or using models and/or simulation software
- Have knowledge of Python or other scripting languages
- Have knowledge of Matlab
- Have knowledge of AG1's Systems Tool Kit (STK)
Responsibilities
- Participate and coordinate work needed for the analysis, planning and definition of the constellation operations ConOps
- Prepare, test, and execute operations procedures
- Perform trade-off studies to design, develop and simulate the overall Satellite LEOP plan
- Develop Spacecraft In-Orbit Operations Procedures and oversee their execution and associated trainings
- Develop Satellite Operation Manuals, test procedures and oversee their execution and associated trainings
- Develop Verification & Validation Matrices of the operations procedures for on-orbit commissioning, routine, and contingency operations of the mission
- Support In-Orbit Test (IOT), anomaly resolution + FDIR
- Support the Satellite Simulator Operation and script development
Preferred Qualifications
- Have previous experience in Constellation Operations
- Have experience in the development and testing of new automated operations
- Have knowledge of MS Excel, for the purposes of engineering analyses
- Have knowledge of requirements Management tools such as DOORS/Windchill/Jama
- Demonstrate the capability to efficiently work with little to no supervision
- Possess strong written and verbal communications skills in English
- Have knowledge of French
