Senior Front End & Web3 Engineer in Worldwide

Summary

The job is for a Senior Frontend & Web3 Engineer at Premia, a DeFi protocol specializing in trading options for cryptocurrency assets. The role involves building and maintaining web products, ensuring a high-quality user experience, and working with various teams to plan, execute, and iterate on the implementation of new features and enhancements.

Requirements

• Experience owning and shipping financial products
• 10+ years of industry experience in software engineering (include university and pre-university software engineering)
• A mastery of Javascript, Typescript, and React with an understanding of blockchain and cryptography fundamentals
• Deep understanding of NextJS and modern tooling for application development in Typescript
• Experience working with GraphQL
• Understanding and experience working with databases such as MongoDB, SQL, Firebase, etc
• Basic web3 understanding: Wallets, transactions, explorers, POW/POS, gas price, etc
• Ability to quickly iterate and ship highly resilient, scalable code backed by complete test suites
• Ability to build modern, event-driven React frontends, converting Figma designs into functional components
• Deep understanding and experience with Git
• Knowledge of engineering best practices such as CI/CD and live issue tracking

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience building applications with web3 libraries such as viem, ethers, wagmi, etc
• Mastery of CSS, preferably via a library like Tailwind/StyleX
• Experience using financial applications or trading options personally
• Open source software contributions, especially to major web3 projects
• 4+ years of university-level software engineering training and education
