Summary

Join our team at Kahoot! as a Frontend Developer, working on creating new game features and presentation tools for our learning platform. Report to the hiring manager in Norway. Requirements

• 5+ years experience in web development
• Commercial experience with TypeScript and React
• Commercial experience with PixiJS or other WebGL/WebGPU rendering frameworks

Responsibilities

• Building new products and maintaining existing ones
• UI development in React
• Gameplay development and animation implementation
• Working with audio engineers to implement sound and music effects
• Actively participating in design and product meetings, as well as contributing to the wider development team discussion

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with game feel, using feedbacks like animation, particles and sounds to add game juice and make satisfying player experiences
• Good understanding of game development patterns
• Experience working on a large codebase with many contributors
• Interest in education and pedagogy
• Experience with multiplayer gaming with web sockets
