Senior Frontend Developer

Summary

Join Recare, a technology partner for optimal discharge management, and work on enhancing its patient transfer product. As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will be a technical owner of a part of the codebase and mentor junior developers.

Requirements

• Have a CS degree or equivalent knowledge
• Have been coding full time professionally for 5+ years
• Highly value empathy and contribute to a happy, engaged and respectful work environment
• Be comfortable manipulating standard data structures and be familiar with modern web standards (HTML and ECMAScript)
• Have production experience with React and be able to discuss common performance pitfalls and workarounds
• Be comfortable diving into advanced frontend topics (build pipelines, bundle analysis, caching mechanisms, rendering approaches)
• Have experience with CI and testing frameworks
• Be up to date with frontend best practices and proactively try to improve DX for the team and customers
• Want to become a technical owner of a part of the codebase and take on responsibilities
• Support and actively interact with team members of different experience levels
• Be proactive and proficient in the entire product development flow (asking questions, clarifying specs, raising doubts, engaging in meetings)
• Have strong written communication skills for remote collaboration

Responsibilities

• Enhance the patient transfer product to help more patients find the best place after their hospital stay
• Support more types of discharges and integrate more deeply with hospital systems
• Work with end-to-end encryption mechanisms for sending and receiving data
• Work on new products that will have a strong impact on German healthcare
• Develop and maintain frontend applications using React, TypeScript, and other technologies in the provided tech stack
• Contribute to the migration of the frontend to a monorepo structure
• Optimize the frontend code for performance
• Build a visual regression tool
• Automate internationalization processes
• Migrate Jest to SWC for faster unit tests
• Migrate Storybook to Vite for faster local development
