Requirements
- Possess production experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, including one or more frontend frameworks (React and Vue.js preferred)
- Have experience working with a large-scale client-side application to improve its speed, scalability, and fault tolerance
- Be highly collaborative and enthusiastic about participating in code reviews and discussions about architecture, technical design, and solving customer problems
- Be knowledgeable about design patterns and testability; experience with testing frameworks, performance testing, and unit testing is welcome
- Be familiar with writing accessible code and prioritizing inclusion before shipping any code
- Have a customer-focused mindset, with good instincts on product design and user experience
- Be willing to learn
Responsibilities
- Participate in discovery work and write technical design proposals and documentation
- Build, debug, and test software (including writing automated tests and doing manual testing)
- Participate in release planning and roll-outs
- Measure impact and iterate on products
- Navigate and understand backend codebases
- Design novel implementations of interfaces and data visualization
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders
- Analyze customer usage data to improve the user experience of existing and new features
Preferred Qualifications
- Have experience with enterprise-scale products
- Be comfortable working with backend, fullstack, or mobile codebases
- Be skilled in working with data (visualizing data, analyzing data, building data pipelines, Applied AI/ML, etc.)
- Have real-world experience with security (incident response, threat modeling, working on bug bounty programs, hardening systems, etc.)
- Have product management or product design experience
- Have open source contributions or contributions to programs designed to help underrepresented people enter the tech field
