Senior Frontend Engineer

Requirements

• Possess production experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, including one or more frontend frameworks (React and Vue.js preferred)
• Have experience working with a large-scale client-side application to improve its speed, scalability, and fault tolerance
• Be highly collaborative and enthusiastic about participating in code reviews and discussions about architecture, technical design, and solving customer problems
• Be knowledgeable about design patterns and testability; experience with testing frameworks, performance testing, and unit testing is welcome
• Be familiar with writing accessible code and prioritizing inclusion before shipping any code
• Have a customer-focused mindset, with good instincts on product design and user experience
• Be willing to learn

Responsibilities

• Participate in discovery work and write technical design proposals and documentation
• Build, debug, and test software (including writing automated tests and doing manual testing)
• Participate in release planning and roll-outs
• Measure impact and iterate on products
• Navigate and understand backend codebases
• Design novel implementations of interfaces and data visualization
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders
• Analyze customer usage data to improve the user experience of existing and new features

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience with enterprise-scale products
• Be comfortable working with backend, fullstack, or mobile codebases
• Be skilled in working with data (visualizing data, analyzing data, building data pipelines, Applied AI/ML, etc.)
• Have real-world experience with security (incident response, threat modeling, working on bug bounty programs, hardening systems, etc.)
• Have product management or product design experience
• Have open source contributions or contributions to programs designed to help underrepresented people enter the tech field
