Remote Senior Frontend Engineer

Summary

Join CookUnity as a Senior Frontend Engineer and contribute to the development of customer-facing web applications. As a key member of the engineering team, you will work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Backend Engineers to deliver smooth user interfaces. With a focus on frontend development, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing new features using ReactJS and NextJS.

Requirements

• You have at least 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, with a focus on frontend development
• Strong expertise in JavaScript, Typescript, ReactJS, and Redux
• Experience with modern frontend build tools (Webpack, Babel, etc.)
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and GraphQL
• Experience with performance optimization techniques and responsive design
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest and Cypress
• Knowledge of UI/UX best practices and ability to work closely with design teams
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and Agile development methodologies

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement new features on the CookUnity web platform using ReactJS and NextJS
• Optimize web applications for performance, scalability, and user experience
• Ensure consistent and responsive design across different devices and browsers
• Work closely with backend engineers to integrate frontend functionality with backend APIs
• Contribute to the development of design systems and reusable components
• Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend technologies and trends, and incorporate them as necessary
• Participate in the code review process and mentor junior engineers
• Help improve test coverage and automate frontend testing using tools like Jest and Cypress
