Senior Frontend Engineer

Requirements

• Has 4+ years of experience in frontend development
• Is ridiculously helpful, taking initiative to make other developers' lives easier
• Has contributed to or maintained a React component library, such as a design system or other shared UI component library
• Has deep experience in React, TypeScript, and foundational web technologies, and is excited to help teach and promote best practices

Responsibilities

• Work closely with designers and engineers across Mercury to build, maintain, and drive adoption of our foundational libraries
• Improve the type-safety, accessibility, and performance of our React components while maintaining excellent user experience
• Modernize, simplify, and improve the resiliency of our Design System components
• Maintain and enhance our critical frontend developer tooling, such as our form libraries and Storybook
• Foster enthusiasm about frontend work at Mercury through mentorship, set best practices, and solve pain points for our engineers
