Summary

Join Super Dispatch as a Senior Frontend Developer and build and improve products and services for the vehicle transportation industry. You will be a technical leader, mentoring engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain customer-facing web interfaces. Responsibilities include architecting, designing, and deploying scalable frontend solutions, establishing development standards, and championing developer experience. The ideal candidate has 6+ years of professional experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Agile methodologies. You will work in a remote-first, distributed team environment.

Requirements

  • You have 6+ years of professional experience, ideally in a product-driven environment
  • You are fluent in JavaScript and TypeScript, and have shipped production-ready applications using the React ecosystem (React, React Router, React Query)
  • You are comfortable working with HTML and CSS, and have a strong understanding of UI/UX principles
  • You have experience writing automated tests using tools like Vitest, Cypress, or Playwright
  • You are well-versed in Agile development practices
  • You have a solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and frontend software architecture
  • You’ve contributed to mentoring others and leading frontend initiatives within your team or company
  • You have worked with REST APIs, handled WebSockets, and understand how frontend connects with backend systems
  • You are familiar with observability practices — debugging, logging, and monitoring client-side applications
  • You have strong communication skills and can clearly articulate technical decisions, write clear documentation, and collaborate cross-functionally
  • You’re comfortable communicating in English at a professional level
  • Capable of independently designing, composing, and deploying scalable frontend solutions
  • Experience creating and distributing shared frontend assets as packages (e.g., via npm, or a private registry)
  • Deep, hands-on experience with modern frontend build and bundling tools (e.g., Vite, Webpack, Rollup). You should be able to write complex configurations from scratch, optimize build performance, and manage module federation if needed

Responsibilities

  • Be a technical leader within the team you work with and guide team to build better Web applications
  • Mentor engineers in the team and help them with their growth
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to tackle the interesting and challenging problems for building and growing an end-to-end (vehicle) shipping platform in the United States
  • Collaborate on technical projects across teams within Super Dispatch
  • Be a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional agile team with its mission, comprised of a product manager, UX designer, a backend engineer, and a QA engineer
  • Architect, design, document, develop, refactor, deploy, and operate customer-faced web interfaces that serve the Super Dispatch customers
  • Establish and govern frontend development standards, best practices, and architectural patterns to ensure consistency, quality, and performance across all web applications
  • Champion and improve the Developer Experience (DX) for frontend engineers across the company. Actively seek out and address friction in their daily workflows

Preferred Qualifications

  • You have experience working with modern ECMAScript (ESNext) features and enjoy staying up to date with evolving frontend standards
  • You’ve worked with Node.js or have backend development experience, allowing for full-stack thinking
  • You have implemented Server Side Rendering (SSR) or Server Sent Events (SSE) in real-world applications
  • You’ve contributed to or built Design Systems
  • You’ve worked with motion/animation libraries to create delightful UI interactions
  • You’re familiar with cloud messaging patterns
  • You are seen as a frontend leader who brings vision and clarity to architectural decisions and improves web development practices across your team
  • Experience writing Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) or similar technical documentation to justify and communicate long-term technical choices
