Senior Front-End Web Developer

Summary

Join Grafana Labs as a (Senior) Front-End Web Developer and contribute to building a new marketing website from the ground up. This remote position, open to US and Canada candidates, involves collaborating with designers and marketers to create engaging web experiences. You will build and maintain the website using Next.js, TypeScript, and other modern technologies, integrate a headless CMS, and optimize for performance and SEO. The ideal candidate is a creative developer with strong communication skills and experience with React component libraries and headless CMS integration. • Have expertise in developing and maintaining React component libraries, ideally using TypeScript and a utility class-based CSS framework like Tailwind CSS
• Have experience building websites or web applications using a React-based framework such as Next.js or Gatsby
• Have a strong understanding of headless CMS integration, including API- and GraphQL-based architectures
• Have familiarity with cloud-based Git version control systems like GitHub or Bitbucket
• Have the ability to write unit and end-to-end tests with frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Enzyme
• Have comfort with front-end design systems such as Figma or Adobe XD

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the Grafana Labs marketing website and custom tools using Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and other modern web technologies
• Integrate a new headless CMS and design scalable API architecture
• Demonstrate component-based development best practices and optimize our UI library for ISR (Incremental Static Regeneration) and SSR (Server-Side Rendering)
• Be a creative thought leader in crafting captivating user experiences through interactivity and animation
• Write and maintain automated tests using frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Enzyme
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features and enhancements
• Optimize the website for performance, scalability, and SEO

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience with GitHub Actions, CI/CD, Docker, NGINX, Kubernetes, Go, Alpine.js, and/or Hugo
• Have experience using a UI component library tool like Storybook or React Cosmos
• Have familiarity with JavaScript animation libraries, such as Framer, GSAP, or Three.js
