Summary

Join Adverity as a Senior Fullstack Engineer and contribute to the technical approach, execution, and delivery of projects within one of their Platform teams. You will be responsible for influencing the architecture, focusing on performance and security, and advocating for best engineering practices. This full-time position offers remote work options in Europe or from their offices in Vienna, Katowice, or Sofia. You will be involved in various aspects of the development process, including code reviews, feature shaping, and strategic cross-product engineering initiatives. The role requires strong technical skills in Python, Django, Typescript, React or Vue.js, REST APIs, and deep code reviews. Additionally, excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential, along with a positive attitude towards continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements

  • Fluency in Python and (preferably) Django framework
  • During your career you’ve seen and managed things in production (large scale)
  • Thorough knowledge and experience with front-end technologies, like Typescript and preferably React or Vue.js
  • Experience with building and maintaining REST APIs
  • Ability to perform deep code reviews . Beyond checking the correctness and cleanness of code, you’re able to connect the dots and focus on the bigger picture
  • Soft skills . Over-communication comes natural to you. You are a good listener. You know how to advocate, persuade and negotiate with the team. You enjoy writing things down to synthesise information
  • Positive attitude towards continuous improvement & learning. You have an appetite for continuous learning and you know when and how to dig deeper
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Strong customer-centric approach, prioritising and empathising with customer needs to deliver value-added solutions

Responsibilities

  • Get to know your product development team and get familiar with our product, technologies, systems & architecture, processes and practices
  • Absorb our engineering culture, start coding and ramp-up quickly within the Adverity universe
  • Get to know the architecture and codebase inside-out
  • Support your product development team with deep code reviews , guiding them towards better system quality and engineering practices
  • Participate in shaping new features by get your hands dirty in PoCs, breaking down technical scopes, and commence working on team deliveries
  • At this point, you know the Adverity platform very well , both product and tech
  • Participate in strategic cross-product engineering initiatives and help product development teams towards pragmatic technical decisions based on limited context, striving to constantly improve maintainability and reliability
  • You increase your impact beyond your product development team to the whole engineering team & beyond
