Senior Full Stack Engineer

Summary

Join cogify group, a Swiss technology company, as a Senior Full Stack Engineer. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend services using Spring Boot, building APIs for mobile applications, and developing frontend applications using modern frameworks. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure application scalability and security, and troubleshoot production issues. The position requires 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on Spring Boot and frontend frameworks. It's a fully remote position with a structured 150-hour/month freelance model, offering a competitive compensation and work-life balance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on Spring Boot (Java) and frontend frameworks
• Strong experience in developing and maintaining RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL
• Proficiency with databases, both relational (e.g. PostgreSQL) and document-oriented such as MongoDB
• Hands-on experience with front-end technologies (React + Typescript)
• Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure)
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Residency in the EU/EFTA is required

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Spring Boot (Java)
• Build and optimize APIs for mobile applications (iOS & Android)
• Develop and maintain frontend applications using modern frameworks (React + Typescript)
• Collaborate with mobile engineers and UI/UX designers to integrate backend and frontend components seamlessly
• Ensure scalability, security, and performance of full-stack applications
• Deliver high-quality production and test code, conduct code-reviews and write helpful documentation
• Work with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new features
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues efficiently
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in full-stack development

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Next.js framework
• Angular to develop and maintain frontend applications using modern frameworks
• Familiarity with Keycloak as a solution for access management
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
