Summary

Join Proxima's engineering team and build AI-driven products using a unique, real-time transaction data set. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will play a central role in developing intelligent systems, from AI agents to backend services and user interfaces. This full-stack position requires proficiency in TypeScript, React, Python, and SQL, along with experience in AI-powered application development. You will work in a fast-paced, agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact features. The ideal candidate has 6+ years of software development experience, proven startup experience, and a passion for AI-assisted development. Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional software development experience
  • Proven experience working in startup environments โ€”youโ€™ve shipped products fast and worn multiple hats
  • Proficiency with TypeScript , Python , and React
  • Experience writing and maintaining CSS in production-grade web apps
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL and relational database design
  • Demonstrated experience building or integrating with AI-powered applications
  • Daily use of AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) is required
  • Comfortable owning projects independently in a high-velocity development environment
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and scale full stack applications using TypeScript , React , and Python
  • Work on end-to-end features including AI agent interfaces, orchestration layers, and developer-facing tools
  • Write and style responsive user interfaces using CSS/SCSS
  • Design, build, and document backend services and APIs
  • Query and manage relational databases using SQL
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to iterate quickly and deliver high-impact features
  • Own projects from architecture to deployment in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Stay on the cutting edge of modern development practices, especially around AI integration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with building or managing AI agent frameworks , orchestration tools, or embeddings
  • Experience with data engineering workflows (ETL, dbt, Airflow, etc.)
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
