Summary
Join Steer, a leader in automotive repair software, as a Senior Full Stack Engineer to develop and deploy robust web applications. You will play a key role in shaping the frontend architecture, ensuring code quality, and solving complex technical challenges. Requirements
- 5+ years of professional development experience in a web-based SaaS role
- Deep understanding and RESTful APIs and n-tier web applications
- Proven experience with at least one major back-end language and framework (e.g., C#/.Net, Node.js/Express, Python/Django/Flask, Ruby on Rails)
- Hands-on experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity with their core services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Azure App Services)
- Proficiency with a modern JavaScript framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and its ecosystem
- Proven experience designing and implementing scalable and maintainable architecture
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis). Ability to design efficient schemas, inspect and optimize ORM generated queries, and manage data migrations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and mentor other engineers
Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership : Define and drive the frontend architectural vision and strategy for Steerβs products
- Code Quality & Standards: Champion best practices in code quality, test automation (unit, integration, E2E), security, and maintainability. Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
- System Design: Champion scalable and reusable frontend components and libraries that bridge between the design system and customer experience
- Problem Solve Complex Challenges: Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues across the full stack, often in a fast-paced production environment
- Contribute to DevOps: Engage with our CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to ensure seamless deployments and operational efficiency
- Ownership: Embody a βyou build it, you own itβ mindset across the stack, always seeking to understand new aspects of the system
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Previous experience in a lead or mentoring role
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes)
