Senior Full Stack Engineer

Summary

Join Thoropass, a rapidly expanding compliance automation company based in New York, as a Senior Full Stack Developer with at least 5 to 6 years of experience. This is a permanent role reporting directly to the Engineering Manager. You will be responsible for making direct technical contributions using various technologies, working cooperatively with other developers and disciplines, and striving to write clean, easy-to-read code.

Requirements

• 5+ years of front-end and back-end development experience
• Strong experience with React and Python
• Understanding of the value that features or bugs bring to customers
• Love for coding
• Experience working with APIs implementation
• Experience working with Scrum methodology
• Passion about delivering an exceptional customer experience
• Capacity to maintain composure and calm demeanor in high-stress situations while remaining focused on resolving the issue as efficiently and effectively as possible
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced English level proficiency (both written and spoken)
• Interest in self-improvement

Responsibilities

• Make direct technical contributions (writing, reviewing, and deploying code) using (but not limited to) Javascript, React, GraphQL, Python, Django
• Work directly with the Product Manager to clearly understand the problem, develop a solution, and implement and deploy it to production
• Strive to write clean, easy-to-read code, and make process and code improvements to keep the codebase as clear and organized as possible
• Participate in code reviews in back end and front end projects
• Work with the team on implementing what is required to achieve quarterly goals
• Communicate with the team in the different meetings during the day
