Senior Full Stack (RoR) Software Engineer

Summary

Join Healthie as a Senior Software Engineer, Payments and play a critical role in shaping and improving the payments infrastructure of the Healthie platform. You will drive the design and development of seamless, scalable, and reliable subscription and payment systems. As a key member of the Customer Engineering team, you will focus on building robust solutions for managing the full subscription lifecycle. You will help automate recurring billing processes, support flexible pricing models, and ensure clean, consistent payment data. This is a full-time remote position located in the U.S., offering a salary range of $167,000-$197,000 per year, plus annual company bonus and benefits. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience in Ruby on Rails, and expertise in integrating and optimizing payment systems, particularly with Stripe.

Requirements

• Have 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience in Ruby on Rails, React, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, or equivalent technologies
• Bring hands-on expertise in integrating and optimizing payment systems, with direct experience working with Stripe for subscription management and billing automation
• Have experience designing scalable, maintainable systems that balance technical debt and business needs
• Have familiarity working with data warehouse, analytics, and CRM tools for enabling financial reporting
• Have a solid knowledge of application security and best practices
• Be a problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments, working both independently and collaboratively to drive meaningful impact
• Be an excellent communicator who values strong working relationships, whether with colleagues, customers, or stakeholders
